Furnishing the Futures of Families in Need

OUR PROGRAM

Who We Are

Furnishing Hope of Massachusetts, Inc. is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization that helps families in need as they are transitioning from homelessness into stable housing by providing them with furniture and home goods.

Who We Serve

Months after being housed many families, while grateful to have a place to call their own, don’t have beds to sleep on, tables to eat at, or chairs to sit on. Furnishing Hope of Massachusetts, Inc. was established to help these families. Our mission is to give these families beds to sleep on, a table to eat at and a couch to snuggle up on, as well as other basic items necessary to creating a “home”.

What We Do

Furnishing Hope provides access to new and gently used furniture and home goods. We also provide help with moving that furniture and guidance in what is necessary to set up a “home” that meets the basic needs of a family.

How Our Program Works

  • An individual, corporate or retail donor donates their new or gently used furniture and home goods to Furnishing Hope. Click Here to find out how to donate.
  • Furnishing Hope organizes and prepares the donations for families in need and creates an online database of our furniture inventory. The families we serve (our “clients”) are referred through our partner agencies.
  • Our clients, together with the help of their Case Worker/Family Advocate from a referring agency, view our furniture inventory online and choose those items that they need.
  • Clients, together with their Case Worker/Family Advocate, also determine what home goods they need. We have a number of starter sets available to our clients. They include a Bedding, Kitchen, Bathroom and Toiletries Starter Set. Learn more about our Starter Sets.
  • Furnishing Hope then coordinates the delivery and the set up of the furniture and home goods.
